  • 1 pt. milk
  • 1 c. corn meal
  • 1 qt. milk
  • 1/2 c. corn syrup or molasses
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 scant tsp. ginger

Directions

    Bring 1 pint milk to a boil.

    Stir in the corn meal; cook until thick.

    Put into a baking dish.

    Add 1 quart milk, corn syrup or molasses, salt, raisins and ginger.

    Bake, stirring often, for about 1 1/2 hours in a 350° oven until thick.
