- 3 cups milk
- 12 cup yellow cornmeal
- 3 eggs, slightly beaten
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 14 cup sugar
- 13 cup dark molasses
- 12 teaspoon ground ginger
- 12 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Directions

1Lightly grease crockpot.

2Preheat on HIGH setting for 20 minutes.

3Meanwhile, mix milk, cornmeal, and salt to a boil.

4Boil stirring constantly for 5 minutes.

5Cover and simmer an additional 10 minutes.

6In large bowl combine the rest of the ingredients.

7Gradually beat in the hot cornmeal mixture with an electric mixer or whisk until smooth.

8Pour into the preheated crockpot.

9Cover and cook on high setting for 2-3 hours or (on low for 6-8 hours).

10Spoon into serving dishes and serve warm with ice cream if desired.

11Double recipe for a 5 quart crockpot.
