- 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 12 cup shredded cheese
- 12-23 cup water
Directions

1Cut shortening into flour mixed with salt.

3Stir in enough water to make soft dough.

4Knead on floured surface for about 10 minutes.

5Let rest 10 minutes.

6Roll very thin, to 16x10 inches, on floured surface.

7Cut into 2-1/2 inch circles.

8Fry in deep hot fat (385 degrees) till puffed and golden, 2 to 3 minutes, turning once.
