Instant Dashi Soup

  • 2 packets dashi powder
  • 1 tablespoon ginger shredded
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 4 1/4 cups water

Directions

    Bring 1 litre of water to boil. Turn off heat. Add 1 tablespoon soy sauce and 2 sachets of dashi powder and stir. In a small soup bowl put shredded giner and pour in stock.

    For a more substantial soup add to the bowl (before pouring in the stock) bean sprouts, finely sliced mushrooms, silken tofu - wither steamed or fried, fresh rice noodles - heated, steamed asparagus, chilli. Sprinkle finely sliced spring onion on soup
