- 6 c. flour
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. milk
- 1 c. water
- 1 beaten egg
- butter (size of an egg)
- 1 yeast cake
- 3/4 c. raisins
- 1 jar Dromedary mixed fruit
Directions

1Scald milk with butter.

2Pour into a large bowl and cool.

3Add sugar and salt.

4Dissolve yeast cake in lukewarm water.

5When milk has cooled, add the beaten egg and the yeast; stir well.

6Add fruit and raisins, then the flour.

7Beat well and let rise to double.

8If not stiff enough to knead, add a little more flour but don't get too stiff; knead well.

9Place in bowl and butter top.

10Let rise to double; knead and shape into 2 loaves.

11Let rise.

12Bake at 400° for about 45 minutes.
