- 4 c. flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. caraway seed (optional)
- 1 c. raisins
- 2 Tbsp. melted margarine
- 1 beaten egg
- 2 c. milk
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
Directions

1Sour milk by adding 2 tablespoons vinegar to 2 cups milk.

2Let sit for 5 minutes.

3Mix dry ingredients into bowl; add butter, caraway seed and raisins.

4Mix together lightly.

5Beat egg and add dry ingredients.

6Pour sour milk in and stir with a fork until well blended.

7Don't overbeat.

8Put in a well buttered black frying pan. Melt 2 tablespoons butter and pour over top.

9Sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 375° for 10 minutes, then at 350° for 50 additional minutes.
