- 1/2 lb. beef stew meat
- 1 medium onion
- 2 to 3 carrots
- 5 lb. potatoes
- salt and pepper to taste
- parsley to taste
Directions

1Brown cubes in kettle.

2Add about 7 cups water.

3Bring to a boil.

4Remove scum; add 2 teaspoons salt, chopped onion, cut carrots, quartered, peeled potatoes and fresh or dried parsley. Cover and simmer 2 to 3 hours.

5Remove meat and shred.

6Mash the potato and carrots.

7Place back into the kettle.
