Ingredients
- 2 lb. lamb
- 6 medium potatoes, peeled and quartered
- 6 medium carrots, quartered
- 1 small turnip, diced
- 3 sprigs parsley
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 3 tsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 c. cold water
Directions

1Cut the lamb into 1-inch cubes.

2Place in a large Dutch oven. Cover with 6 cups of cold water.

3Bring to a boil.

4Add potatoes, carrots, onions, turnip, parsley, salt, pepper and sugar.

5Cover and simmer about 2 1/2 hours or until meat is tender.

6Thicken the stew with the mixture of flour and cold water.

7Continue to cook an additional 15 minutes.

8Season to taste.

9Serves 6 to 8.
