- 4 lb. lean, boneless beef roast
- garlic cloves
- sweet basil
- oregano
- oil
- 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
- 1 beef bouillon cube
- 1 c. water
- 1 can beef broth
Directions

1Cut X in top of roast.

2Put a clove of garlic in each 4 sections.

3Sprinkle with sweet basil and oregano.

4Brown in a little oil in a big heavy pan on both sides.

5When brown, add onion soup mix, beef bouillon cube, water and beef broth.

6Can add a little more water or broth, if needed.

7Simmer for 4 hours. Remove, cool and slice thin.

8Put back in broth and simmer 1 more hour.

9Cool, put in containers and freeze.

10Serve on hoagie buns. Can do 2 roasts at one time.
