  • 1 package frozen green beans
  • 1 bunch green onions, chopped
  • 1/3 c. fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/3 c. fresh basil, chopped
  • 3 Tbsp. olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Steam beans in salted water, according to package directions. Cook until they are crisp and very green, do not overcook. When beans are about 3 minutes from being done, braise onions, parsley, basil, salt and pepper in a small frying pan with olive oil.

    Drain beans and put into covered dish.

    Immediately pour the onion mix over the beans.

    Stir.

    Cover and let stand for 3 minutes, then serve.
