- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. white sugar
- 3/4 c. Crisco
- 3 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. cloves
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 4 eggs
- 1 pt. blackberry jam
- 1 box raisins
Directions

1Cream together butter and sugar.

2Put soda in buttermilk. Sift dry ingredients together, adding alternately with the buttermilk.

3Add eggs; blend and fold in jam and raisins.

4Bake in 10-inch tube pan at 350° for about 1 or 1 1/2 hours according to your oven.

5Test with toothpick.

6I always line my pan with greased brown paper sack.
