  • 4 eggs
  • 2 sticks margarine, softened
  • 1 c. strawberry preserves
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. flour

Directions

    In a large bowl, combine eggs, butter, preserves, soda and sugar; mix well.

    Stir in buttermilk.

    Add remaining ingredients. Divide batter evenly among four greased and floured 9-inch round cake pans.

    Bake at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes, until cakes pull away from sides of pans.
