  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 Tbsp. ground cloves
  • 1 Tbsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 c. cultured buttermilk or sour milk
  • 2 c. jam
  • 1/2 c. broken nuts or raisins (optional)
