- 2 c. self-rising flour
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 1 c. sweet milk
Directions

1Combine flour and sugar in a mixing bowl.

2Add oil, egg and milk to dry ingredients.

3Stir quickly with a fork until the dry ingredients are moistened.

4The batter should be lumpy.

5Spoon batter into greased muffin cups until they are half full.

6Add 1 teaspoon of jam.

7Cover with remaining batter.

8Bake in a 400° oven until brown.
