  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 2 (8 ounce) cans tomatoes
  • 1 (12 ounce) package Velveeta cheese, cubes
  • 12 ounces egg noodles
  • 1 (6 ounce) can mushrooms
  • 1 (4 ounce) can sliced water chestnuts
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • salt and pepper

    Saute onion, green pepper, and celery.

    Cook entire pkg of noodles.

    Cook and drain ground beef.

    Add tomatoes and chili powder.

    Simmer.

    Add mushroom and water chestnuts.

    Add sauteed vegetables to ground beef mixture.

    Drain noodles and add Velveeta.

    Stir to start the cheese melting.
