- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 c. sifted cake flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. sweet milk
- 1 box raisins
- 1/2 c. cocoa
- 1/4 lb. candied cherries
- 6 egg yolks (save egg whites to cover cake)
Directions

1Stir butter to soften.

2Add sugar and beat until fluffy.

3Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating well after each.

4Add vanilla. Sift together baking powder, flour and cocoa.

5Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.

6Blend in raisins and candied cherries.
