  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 1/3 c. water
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. cake flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2/3 c. jelly or jam
  • confectioners sugar

Directions

    In a small mixer bowl, beat eggs for about 5 minutes.

    Pour eggs into large mixer bowl.

    Gradually beat in sugar.

    On low speed, blend in water and vanilla.

    Gradually add flour, baking powder and salt, beating until smooth.

    Pour batter into 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch pan with wax paper (greased).

    Bake at 375° for 12 to 15 minutes.
