  • 1 3/4 lb. white sugar
  • 3/4 lb. white corn syrup
  • 1/2 lb. water (1 c.)
  • 1 tsp. flavoring (must be oil flavoring)
  • coloring to suit your taste

    Measure white sugar, corn syrup and water on scale (3 pounds). Mix together in saucepan and boil to scant 300° (hard-crack stage). Remove from heat and add flavoring and coloring.
