  • 6 egg whites, beaten dry
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vinegar
  • 1 pt. whipping cream
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. walnuts, (about) chopped

Directions

    Beat the sugar into the beaten dry egg whites.

    Add the vanilla and vinegar. Butter a square cake pan (8 x 8-inch).

    Line with wax paper.

    Put mixture into wax paper lined pan.

    Bake 35 minutes in a 350° oven. When cool, cut in half.
