Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground round or ground sirloin
- 1 medium onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp. basil
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 2 tsp. parsley
- 2 (28 oz.) cans tomato sauce (large)
- 2 (12 oz.) cans tomato paste (large)
- 2 cans water (use tomato paste can for measure)
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 3 Tbsp. olive oil
Directions

1In large, heavy stock pan, heat oil and brown meat.

2Drain off fat.

3Add all ingredients and bring to a boil slowly.

4Simmer for at least 1 1/2 hours.

5It's much better the day after and freezes well.

6Keeps in the fridge for at least one week.

7Cook mostaccioli as directed on the box.
