- 4 (1 oz.) sq. semi-sweet chocolate
- 3 large eggs
- 3/4 c. sugar
- light corn syrup
- 1 1/2 oz. jar salted dry roasted peanuts
- 1 (9-inch) frozen deep dish pie shell
Directions

1About 3 1/2 hours before serving or early in day:

2Preheat oven at 350°.

3In a heavy small saucepan over low heat, heat chocolate, stirring occasionally, until melted and smooth.

4Remove chocolate from heat; cool slightly.

5In a large bowl, mix eggs, sugar, melted chocolate and 1 cup corn syrup until smooth.

6Stir in peanuts. Pour peanut mixture into frozen pie shell.

7Bake pie 60 to 65 minutes, until a knife inserted one inch from edge of pie comes out clean.

8Cool pie on wire rack completely.

9Brush top of pie with 1 tablespoon corn syrup for attractive sheen.
