Ingredients

  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. white Karo syrup
  • 1 c. oleo
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 7 qt. popped corn
  • 1 lb. blanched nuts

Directions

    Mix first 4 ingredients together and boil for 5 minutes.

    Add vanilla and soda; this will cause mixture to fizz.

    Spray large metal dishpan or mixing bowl with Pam spray.

    Pour syrup mixture over 7 quarts popped corn and blanched peanuts.

    Mix well together and place in 250° oven for 45 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
