  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1/4 cup chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 (1 oz.) square unsweetened chocolate
  • 3 t. beef bouillon
  • 21 oz. water
  • 2 cans tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper

Bring to a boil; simmer until thickened. Serve over hot spaghetti. Top with cheese, chopped onions, and beans, if desired.
