- 1 1/4 lb. butter (5 cubes)
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 6 c. flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Bring butter to room temperature.

2Cream the butter and sugar; add eggs and mix well.

3Add vanilla and flour.

4Roll out dough 1/8 inch thick on lightly floured board.

5Cut with cookie cutter and lay on ungreased pans or on waxed paper on breadboard.

6Chill several hours or overnight.

7Brush with lightly beaten egg white and sprinkle with finely chopped nuts.

8Bake at 375° about 10 minutes.

9Makes about 12 dozen.
