Kahlua

Name: Kahlua
Ingredients: 1/4 cups Instant Coffee; 2-1/2 cups Sugar; 1 quart Water; 2-1/2 cups Vodka; 1-1/4 cup Brandy; 1 teaspoon Vanilla; 2 Tablespoons Honey; 2-1/2 ounces, fluid Creme De Cacao

1/4 cups Instant Coffee
2-1/2 cups Sugar
1 quart Water
2-1/2 cups Vodka
1-1/4 cup Brandy
1 teaspoon Vanilla
2 Tablespoons Honey
2-1/2 ounces, fluid Creme De Cacao

Add coffee, sugar and water to large pot. Stir and bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour.

Allow mixture to cool and add the remaining ingredients.

Mix well to dissolve the honey.

Store in airtight decanters or containers.

This can be used to make a variety of drinks. Look for recipes on the web that include Kahlua. I like to make frozen mudslides by blending Kahlua and vanilla ice cream, then pouring into a glass that has been swirled with chocolate syrup. Top with additional chocolate (if desired) and whipped cream. Another favorite of mine is to mix Kahlua with perfectly brewed coffee. Add either cream or whipped cream (homemade whipped cream is best!). Enjoy.
