Karo Nut Pie

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. whole pecans (add last)
  • 1 c. light Karo syrup
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 unbaked pie shell

Directions

    Combine all ingredients, except pie shell.

    Pour into shell. Let stand 5 minutes so nuts will rise.

    Bake in a 350° oven for 50 to 60 minutes or until knife blade inserted in center comes out clean.

    (For Country Fair or holiday pie, turn nuts all right side up for better looking pie.)
