- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 egg
- 3 c. plain flour
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 1 pkg. yeast
Directions

1Cream sugar and shortening.

2Add boiling water.

3Soften yeast in warm water.

4Stir into sugar mixture.

5Add egg.

6Sift salt and flour and stir gradually into sugar mixture.

7Cover tightly and place in refrigerator.

8When ready to use, remove amount desired. Shape into rolls and let rise in a warm place approximately 20 minutes.

9(Should remain in refrigerator at least 3 hours.)
