- 3 bunches fresh spinach (12 c.)
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. oil
- 1 c. matzo
- 1 c. chicken stock
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Wash spinach thoroughly and cook in very little water (1 cup) for 5 minutes.

2Drain well and chop.

3Mix spinach with all ingredients except oil and set aside for 1/2 hour giving matzo meal time to absorb.

4Form in round balls, press between palms and fry.

5When patties are all fried, put in pan and cover over very low flame for 15 minutes with chicken stock.
