  • 2 lb. Anasazi or red beans, washed and soaked overnight
  • 1/4 c. garlic powder
  • 2 bunches green onions, cut up (use 1/2 tops)
  • 1 large onion, cut up
  • 1 lb. ham, trimmed and cut up, browned off
  • 1 lb. Jimmy Dean beef sausage, browned off
  • 1 can Ro-Tel
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp. cracked black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. liquid Crystal pure cayenne pepper seasoning*
  • 3 cans double strength chicken broth
  • 1/4 c. garlic powder
  • 1/4 c. molasses
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. cumin

    *If you like it a little hotter, use 2 tablespoons liquid Crystal pure cayenne pepper or you can use 1/8 teaspoon of regular cayenne pepper.
