- 2 -3 russet potatoes
- 1 quart whole milk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 egg whites
- vegetable oil (for deep frying)
Directions

1Peel skin off potatoes.

2Clean potatoes.

3Cut potatoes lengthwise into 1/2 inch or less.

4Let potatoes soak in milk half hour or longer.

5Meanwhile, mix the flour, sugar, salt, and pepper.

6In a separate bowl, whisk the egg whites until bubbly.

7Dip potatoes into egg whites, then into flour mixture.

8Deep fry a few potatoes at a time for 5-6 minutes.

9Drain access grease from potatoes when done.

10Serve hot.
