Ingredients

  • 1 large can sauerkraut, drained and rinsed
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 large apple, pared and sliced
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. caraway seed
  • 1/2 c. dry white wine or water
  • 1 lb. kielbasa sausage, sliced

    Saute onion slightly.

    Put all ingredients in large casserole and mix well.

    Cover and bake for 1 1/2 hours in 325° oven, stirring occasionally.

    Add more liquid if too thick.
