- 4 c. sifted flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 oz. cake yeast or 1 pkg. dry in 1 c. water
- 1 1/4 c. butter
- 3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
- 1/2 c. sour cram
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- confectioners sugar
- fruit filling
Directions

1Sift flour and salt.

2Add crumbled yeast.

3Cut in butter.

4Add the egg yolks, sour cream and vanilla.

5Mix thoroughly and divide dough into 6 equal parts.

6Dust counter with powdered sugar and roll each piece of dough in a circle and cut into 8 parts.

7Place a spoonful of filling on each wedge of dough and roll toward center.

8Sprinkle generously with powdered sugar before rolling dough.

9Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 400° for 15 to 20 minutes.

10Remove immediately and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Makes 4 dozen kolachkies.
