  • 1 1/2 margarine sticks
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. cocoa
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. cold water
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 2/3 c. chopped kraut, washed and drained thoroughly

Directions

    Cream margarine and sugar.

    Add eggs, one at a time, then vanilla.

    Add dry ingredients alternately with water.

    Stir in kraut.

    Bake in 2 layer pans or oblong at 350° for 30 minutes.
