- 1 12 cups sugar
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon anise seed (heaping)
- 1 egg
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 12 cups milk
- 4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
Directions

1Rub the melted butter into the sugar.

2Add salt, egg and anise seed.

3Mix baking soda into the sour cream.

4Add the milk, 2 cups of SIFTED flour.

5Add baking powder and remainder of flour.

6Put plastic wrap into bowl.

7Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.

8Grease cookie sheets.

9Roll into log and cut off about size of ping pong ball.

10Bake at 400F (204-205C) for about 5 minutes.

11Broil for 1 minute.
