- 8 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. pecans
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 egg
- 4 candied cherries
- 1 Tbsp. old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1/2 c. pecan halves
- 3 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions

1Heat oven to 325°.

2Line baking sheet with foil; melt butter. Grind pecans (1 cup) and sugar in food processor.

3Combine nut mixture, flour, baking powder and salt.

4Beat together butter, vanilla and egg; stir into flour mixture.

5Mix well and divide batter into thirds.

6Chop cherries and raisins; stir into 1/3 of mix along with oats.

7Drop by teaspoonfuls about 3 inches apart. Bake about 8 minutes or until golden brown.

8Drop next 1/3 of mix by teaspoonfuls.

9Flatten slightly and place a pecan half on top. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.

10Drop remaining 1/3 of mix by teaspoon about 5 inches apart; flatten slightly.

11Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.

12Melt chocolate chips and drizzle melted chocolate over tops of plain cookies or all.
