Ingredients

  • 1/2 pineapple
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/3 c. water
  • 1 c. lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 c. unsweetened pineapple juice
  • 1 1/2 bottles (fifths) Puerto Rican rum
  • 2 qt. sparkling water
  • 1 pt. strawberries, sliced

Directions

    Remove pineapple meat from shell.

    Slice and dice.

    Make syrup with sugar and water, boiling a few minutes; cool, then pour over pineapple.

    Mix all other ingredients except strawberries and chill at least 2 hours.
