- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 3 lb. boned lamb, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1/2 to 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 large onion, sliced thin
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 c. toasted almond slices
- 2 c. uncooked rice (converted)
- 1 c. white raisins
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 can beef consomme or 2 bouillon cubes
- 2 c. water (plus 10 oz., if using cubes)
- 1/4 c. lemon juice
Directions

1In two batches, quickly brown half the lamb in 2 tablespoons of butter over high heat.

2Remove and set aside.

3Lower heat to medium and saute onions, cinnamon, pepper and garlic powder for 3 to 5 minutes until onions are opaque.
