- 3 eggs
- 1/2 c. castor syrup
- 3/4 c. self-rising flour
- 1/4 c. cornflour
- 15 gm. (1/2 oz.) butter
- 3 Tbsp. hot water
Directions

1Beat eggs until light.

2Gradually add sugar and continue beating until mixture is thick and sugar completely dissolved. Sift dry ingredients several times.

3Melt butter in hot water. Sift dry ingredients over egg mixture.

4Fold in lightly.

5Then working quickly, fold in hot water and butter.

6Pour into lightly greased 18 cm x 28 cm (7 x 11-inch) lamington tin.

7Bake in moderate oven at approximately 30 minutes.
