  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 qt. chopped tomatoes
  • 2 (12 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano leaves
  • 8 oz. lasagna
  • 16 oz. Ricotta or cottage cheese
  • 12 oz. shredded or thinly sliced Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 c. grated Parmesan cheese

    In large heavy pan, lightly brown beef and onion.

    Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, chili and oregano leaves; simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, about 30 minutes.
