- 2 lb. lean hamburger
- 2 (6 to 8 oz.) cans tomato paste
- 1 large can tomato sauce
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 to 1 tsp. oregano
- 1/2 to 3/4 tsp. basil leaves, chopped
- 1/2 to 3/4 garlic powder (clove of garlic may be used)
- 2 large cartons cottage cheese (low-fat)
- 1 pkg. (2 c.) Mozzarella cheese, shredded (may be used)
- 1 pkg. lasagna noodles
- 1 medium onion
- Parmesan cheese
Directions

1Sauce: Place tomato paste, tomato sauce, pepper, oregano, basil leaves and garlic powder into saucepan.

2Saute onion in vegetable oil; put into the sauce then brown hamburger and place into the sauce.

3Cook sauce for 30 minutes.

4In another pan boil water with 1 teaspoon vegetable oil.

5After water comes to a boil, place 1 package lasagna noodles and cook until tender.

6Cut with a fork.
