Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Italian Sausage (mix hot with mild)
  • 1/2 lb. or more hamburger
  • 1 clove garlic~minced
  • 1 Tblp. basil
  • 1 Tblp. Italian seasoning
  • 1 Tbsp. parsly flakes
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 lrg. can tomatoes
  • 2 ~6oz. tomatoe paste(1 1/2 cans water per can tomatoe paste)
  • 10 oz. wide lasagna noodles
  • 1-2 lbs. ricotta cheese*
  • 2-3 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tblp. parsley
  • basil & oregano ~ to taste
  • 1/2 c. fresh parmesan cheese~domestic
  • 1 lb. mozzorella cheese ~ thin sliced
  • salt to taste

    Brown meat slowly~ spoon off excess fat: Add next 6 ingredients. Cook uncovered about 30 min. Stirring occassionly. Cook noodles~salted & a little oil~ in boiling water till tender: drain, rinse in cold water~ put on wax paper~ Meanwhile, combine ricotta w/eggs, seasoning, parmesan cheese.

    Place 1/2 noodles in 13x9x2 pan. Add 1/2 of mozz. & 1/2 meat sauce. Repeat 3 layers. Bake 30 min. @ 350degrees. Let stand 10~15 min. before serving.
