  • 3 lb. ground beef
  • 1 Tbsp. salad oil
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 Tbsp. basil
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1 small diced onion
  • 1/4 c. diced green pepper
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 5 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 can water
  • 1/2 c. ketchup
  • 4 c. Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 pkg. lasagna noodles

Directions

    Brown meat; add onions, green peppers and oil.

    Add all the spices, seasonings, tomato sauce, ketchup and water.

    Simmer until thick, about 1 hour.

    Cook 1 package lasagna according to the package.

    I add 1 tablespoon oil to water so noodles don't stick. Layer noodles, then sauce (about 1 1/2 cups per layer), then Mozzarella cheese in a 9 x 13-inch pan, 3 layers high.

    Bake at 350° for 45 to 60 minutes.
