- 2 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 (No. 2 1/2) can whole tomatoes
- 1 (No. 2 1/2) can water
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- salt, pepper and garlic to taste
- dash of hot sauce
- 1/2 large onion, chopped
- 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
- 1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms (optional)
Directions

1Brown beef.

2Add whole tomatoes, water and tomato sauce.

3Stir in remaining ingredients.

4Simmer until almost thick.

5Cook enough lasagna noodles (approximately 8) to make 2 layers.

6Place in flat glass baking dish (9 x 13 x 2-inch) in this order:

7layer of noodles, layer of sauce, thin layer of cottage cheese and Mozzarella cheese.

8Repeat.
-
9Bake 30 minutes in a 375° oven.
