- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 lb. ground beef, crumbled
- 1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 rounded tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1/2 lb. lasagna noodles
- 12 oz. Mozzarella cheese or Monterey Jack or mild Swiss
- 1 lb. cottage cheese or Ricotta
- 3/4 c. Parmesan, grated
Directions

1Saute ground beef and garlic in oil, then add next 5 items and simmer 20 minutes.

2While simmering, cook noodles in boiling, salted water about 15 minutes; drain.

3Now fill 3-quart casserole dish (buttered or sprayed with Pam) with alternate layers of noodles, cheese, tomato sauce, and Parmesan, ending with a layer of sauce and Parmesan.

4Bake, uncovered, at 375° for 20 minutes.
