- 2 lb. ground beef
- 3/4 c. finely chopped onion
- 1 (32 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
- 1 c. water
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 lb. lasagna noodles
- 2 c. (1 lb.) cottage cheese
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 lb. Mozzarella cheese, grated
- 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
Directions

1Cook ground beef and onion in 3-quart saucepan over medium heat for 10 minutes; drain.

2Add sauce, water and salt; blend well.

3Simmer for 15 minutes.

4Cook lasagna according to package directions; drain well.

5Combine cottage cheese and egg.

6Spread 3/4 cup meat sauce on bottom of greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch pan.

7Arrange a layer of lasagna over sauce.

8Top with layers of cottage cheese, Mozzarella cheese and meat sauce. Repeat layers twice, ending with a layer of lasagna.

9Spread meat sauce over top and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

10Cover and bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.

11Makes 8 to 12 servings.
