- 2 lb. ground beef
- 1 small onion
- 1 large can tomatoes (approximately 2 c.)
- 1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1 lb. Mozzarella cheese
- 2 c. cottage cheese or Ricotta
- 1/3 c. Parmesan cheese
- 2 eggs, beaten
- lasagna noodles
Directions

1Brown hamburger with onion; season with salt, pepper and garlic salt.

2Drain off grease.

3Add tomatoes and tomato paste. Simmer for 20 to 30 minutes.

4Cook lasagna; drain and rinse with cold water.

5Beat 2 eggs; add cottage cheese and Parmesan cheese; mix well.

6To assemble lasagna, pour a thin layer of meat mixture in bottom of a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.

7Cover with layer of lasagna noodles.

8Spread half the cheese mixture over lasagna. Lay half the Mozzarella cheese over the cheese mixture.

9Spread a layer of tomato sauce over all.

10Repeat layers; top with remaining lasagna and tomato sauce.

11Cover with foil and bake in a 350° oven for 20 minutes; uncover and bake 20 minutes longer.

12Let stand 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
