Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • garlic powder to taste
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 2 (8 oz.) pkg. Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 (6 oz.) can mushrooms
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 (8 oz.) carton Ricotta cheese
  • 1 lb. lasagna noodles

Directions

    Brown meat, onion, mushrooms and drain.

    Add spaghetti sauce, tomato sauce, oregano, garlic powder, salt and pepper.

    Simmer 15 to 30 minutes.

    Combine egg and Ricotta cheese.

    Layer uncooked noodles, sauce, Ricotta and Mozzarella, ending with sauce.

    Pour 1/4 to 1/2 cup water over all.

    Bake, covered, at 375° for 35 to 40 minutes.

    Remove cover.

    Sprinkle Mozzarella on top and bake an additional 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
