  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
  • 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. basil
  • 10 oz. lasagna noodles
  • 1 (1 lb.) carton cottage cheese
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. parsley flakes
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 10 oz. Swiss cheese slices

Directions

    Brown ground beef, onion and garlic salt; drain.

    Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, sugar and basil; simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes.

    Cook and drain noodles.

    Combine cottage cheese, Parmesan cheese, parsley flakes, eggs, salt and pepper.

    Alternate layers of lasagna, cheese mixture, slices of cheese and meat mixture, repeating until all are used, in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.

    Bake at 375° for 30 minutes.
