Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme
  • 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 bay leaf, crushed
  • 2/3 (16 oz.) pkg. lasagna noodles (about 14)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 (15 oz.) container Ricotta cheese
  • 1 (16 oz.) pkg. Mozzarella cheese

Directions

    Cook beef and onions until juices evaporate.

    Add tomatoes and next 8 ingredients.

    Heat until boiling, reduce heat to low, cover and simmer 30 minutes, stirring mixture occasionally.

    Spoon off any fat on top of sauce.

    (Cook noodles.)
