- 1 medium head cabbage, chopped
- 2 c. elbow macaroni
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- salt and pepper
Directions

1Fry onion in butter or margarine until golden.

2Add cabbage and a little water and continue frying until cabbage is tender. Stir to keep from burning.

3More water may be added, if needed. Cook the macaroni according to directions on the package.

4Drain and add to cabbage mixture.

5Add salt and pepper to taste.
